It’s very easy to enter the Newbury Carnival Parade and entry is FREE!

Simply click here to download a copy of our entry form, save it to your desktop, complete the required information and email it back to newburycarnival@gmail.com as an attachment.   We prefer to receive entries by email but if you need  to complete the form by hand there is a PDF version here which you can print and post to the address shown on the form .  The parade route is shown on this Google map.

And if you need any encouragement, here are our top ten reasons for taking part in the Newbury Carnival parade:

1. It’s great fun – watch our video of Newbury Carnival 2009 (on the front page of our website) to confirm this fact!
2. You or your organisation could win one of our £100 prizes.
3. Entering the parade is an excellent, low cost way of promoting your community group, school, company or charity.
4. You’ll meet lots of lovely people (again, see the video).
5. While we welcome floats on lorries, you don’t have to spend a lot of time and effort on your entry – simple, walking entries can be very effective.
6. You can also enter as an individual or family.
7. If you form a group from your work place, creating your entry and taking part on the day is a great way of team building.
8. You’ll be helping to encourage and promote Newbury’s community spirit.
9. As we mentioned before, it’s free!
10. And you can collect money to raise funds for your group, your favourite charity or for the Carnival’s nominated charity.
